"Minola" BARBERA del Monferrato d.o.c. 2015

Cultivar 100% barbera

This Barbera comes from a vineyard placed in the “Barbera” area of the Vignale Monferrato municipality.

This demonstrates that this site has been suited for centuries to this cultivar, which allows for a full-bodied wine good for ageing.

The grapes are harvested by hand and the must is kept in alcoholic maceration for more than two weeks, then, after few filtration cycles, it is moved in some small oak barrels from France, where it is aged for a period of 12 months.

The wine is finally refined in bottle for at least another 6 months in the estate cellar.

In case a vintage is considered unsuitable to obtain a wine for long ageing the barbera Minola is not produced.
