With the endorsement of the Province of Alessandria, in 2002, the farm became a wild life reservation.
The farm´s landscape, dense with hedges, small forest and lakes, the absolute absence of noxious chemicals and the biodynamic methods have created the ideal environment for the development of bugs, as well as wildlife.
This environment supports the passage and the nest-building of several birds.
During the last few years, our monthly check-lists have registered 110 different species of migrating birds, and the only couple of Lanius Senator, a passerine bird, nesting in North Western Italy to prepare for its long winter migration to Central Africa.
